Job descriptions and resumes can be PDF, DOCX or plain text files, up to 2 MB each. You can also paste a job description in. A position holds up to 100 resumes, and you can add up to 30 at a time.

Propel uses your phone's file picker, so you can add resumes from the phone itself, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or any other storage app it shows. Save resumes there from your email, a job board or your applicant tracking system first, then add up to 30 at a time.

Not yet. Propel is a mobile app for iPhone and Android. Your positions, resumes and results are stored on your account, so they're there on any phone you sign in on.

The app tells you which files it skipped and why. The usual reasons are a scanned or photographed resume with no text to read, a password-protected or damaged file, a file over 2 MB, or a duplicate of a resume already in the position. Skipped files aren't charged.

Each account belongs to one person, with its own positions and credits. To share results, download the summary document or the ZIP of the top resumes and send them on.

It rates each resume from 0 to 4 against each of your criteria: 0 not evidenced, 1 weak, 2 partially met, 3 clearly met, 4 exceeds. Each criterion carries a share of the 100 points, 70 for must-haves and 30 for secondary criteria by default, and the total decides the rank. You can change the criteria and the split at any time.

No. It scores and ranks resumes and nothing else. It never rejects, shortlists or contacts anyone. A person makes every hiring decision.

About 30 resumes take around 90 seconds. Resumes are scored several at a time, and the app shows an estimate while a run is in progress. Larger batches take proportionally longer.

One credit screens one resume of up to two pages. You can buy 250 credits for $9.99, or subscribe to Pro or Max. Credits are used when you score and rank resumes, which is the main thing the app does. See the pricing page for the details.

Before a run starts, the app checks you have enough credits and offers a top-up if you don't. Only resumes that were scored successfully are charged.

Open Settings in the app and choose Manage subscription. It takes you to the App Store or Google Play, which is where subscriptions are managed. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.

Yes. Sign in with the same account and use Restore purchases on the paywall. Your positions, resumes and results are stored on your account, not on the phone.

Job descriptions and resumes are sent to two AI providers, TypeSafe and Anthropic, to score resumes and suggest criteria. Neither of them trains AI models on this data, and neither does Propel. The app asks for your consent to this before you start. The privacy policy names them and the regions involved.

In the app, at any time. Deleting a resume or a position removes it, and the candidate details in past scoring records are erased. To delete your whole account, go to Settings, then Delete account. That removes your job profiles, resumes, criteria, scores and sign-in account immediately and permanently. If you can't use the app, section 11 of the privacy policy explains how to ask by email.
